Every culture has a god. These gods are openly discussed, even sometimes touted. We have a savior! Jesus has just explained that He was going to lay down His life for all. He now encouraged those with Him not to be surprised by these things. To not be troubled by it. This was new! Nothing in history ever happened like this (nor ever will)! The God of the universe would die for me? Yes! He did!! And He's coming back! There is none like Him! Know that He is with us every step of the way. We can trust Him. I love you.
